Many Traveling Nurse Companies In The US

This nurse will quit her job whenever she does not like it anymore and goes to search for another one. Already familiar with this kind of lifestyle, she has moved states and changed her job six times in the last year. These nomadic nurses are who hospitals rely on to make up for the nursing shortage.

Given this, many hospitals will go to traveling nurse companies which will then provide them with the staff that they need. There have been many places this nurse has been in such as Florida to New York and San Diego to Seattle since graduating from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Nursing in 1999 and yet not location request has arrived.

For the Chief Nursing Executive of the University of Pennsylvania health system it is due to these traveling nurses that hospital have a temporary answer to their problem. Traveling nurses get about $30 an hour and up which is considerably large then what the people at four Penn system earns. Traveling nurses work for about 13 weeks initially.

There will be opportunities for nurses everywhere. Working for one year this nurse earned around $32,000 and on the second year she made $52,000. The reason for her traveling was so she could visit other places like San Diego with perfect weather year round and her favorite location so far which is Seattle.

Just six blocks from the hospital that hired her and right in the middle of the street is Mount Rainier. Filled with fresh and clean air as well as friendly people was this city.

The working environment is not necessarily the most pleasing. This job is known to have high rate of being burnout and stress and feeling unappreciated. Once you feel pressured, you can just opt to leave. Traveling comes easy for you as you can do this every 13 weeks.

If you are lucky you can get a flexible schedule. According to this nurse, she was able to visit eight national parks in a year. There is a lot of stuff that goes with moving so frequently.

This nurse traveled for five years, working in Florida, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, New York and Hawaii before settling in Seattle. Many times she shares; she feels the longing for it but is glad to have left the demanding life behind.

Many times things need to be the same like mailbox addresses and phone numbers. There's a sisterhood, that's why you leave your stuff, and notes like if you want to get this fixed, call this place. Despite having lots of experience something things still get left behind whenever she moves.
