3 Wrong Assumptions In Niche Marketing

By Gene Fink

Specializing in Niche Markets has never been as crucial as it is today. With the introduction of modern business practices, catering to the general public has gone the way of the dinosaur.

To make money in today's Internet Marketing environment, one must specialize in well defined niche topics.

Before anything else, it is necessary to set the record straight on some erroneous niche marketing beliefs.

Specialization does not necessarily mean expertise in a particular field.

It is not correct to say that you should not dabble in a Niche that is not within your field of expertise.

The Internet is so impersonal that you can easily appear as an expert and not know anything about that particular niche topic. The key is to appear as an expert. How to do that? You can be a broker and create a website with little or without the need to interact as in blogs, purchase and reselling. In effect, you have the option to pick any niche that you will comfortable with.

Niche markets should be created one at a time.

Wrong. There is no limit to the number of niche markets that you can have, and in fact it is more advantageous to do so. You can establish several niches under different names as you may deem fit.

It is a matter of numbers in the niche market business. An operational niche market can function by itself thereby allowing you to establish another one.

It would be easier and more convenient if you establish yourself as an affiliate in the niche market.

That is misleading. Doing business and making money by association does not mean that you cannot make money doing otherwise.

You need to promote your own landing or squeeze page where you collect the e-mail address of the visitor, and then sending him or her to the niche product you are promoting. You should also send out an e-mail course with informative information pertaining to that particular niche market to gain the visitors trust. By giving visitors useful and comprehensive information, you are gaining their trust and confidence and they will soon defer to your recommendations.

The foregoing discussions center on the three erroneous beliefs in the niche market. Follow the tips above, and you will be more likely to succeed. Remember, it is important to find a profitable niche, set it up so it is on auto-pilot, then move on to the next niche. In spite of its promise, you still have to take your chances in niche markets.

The good thing is that even a low batting average of one in ten will already justify your time and effort.
