Silverstone F1 Hospitality - Glamorous Corporate Entertainment

By Carlos Dawson Hurley

The British Grand Prix at Silverstone is one of the most glamorous events of the sporting year in Great Britain. Whether you are a company trying to impress your clients or an individual who wants to impress a girlfriend, Silverstone F1 hospitality will be a day to remember.

Hospitality may be purchased direct from the circuit itself, either their own services or the official F1 Paddock Club. Purchasing direct means that you are guaranteed official tickets for the race and itemized services at a specific price. With outside vendors, this may not always be clearly stated.

Hospitality services may be purchased from outside vendors but to avoid disappointment, it is essential that buyers check the corporate website to make sure they are dealing with a company that is on the official suppliers' list. Official suppliers are also distinguished by the spiky red, white and blue logo.

What you pay will depend on the venue, how many and which days you require services. Prices are naturally lower on the Friday practice day than they are on Sunday, the day of the actual race.

The 'Silverstone Six' package is available only on Saturday (qualifying) and Sunday. Prices start at GBP 279 for Saturday, GBP 865 for Sunday and a combined Saturday/Sunday package for GBP 1,045, a 'saving' of GBP 25. Tucked between Maggotts Corner and Wellington Straight, this package offers views of six corners of the circuit: Aintree, The Loop, Village, Farm Curve, Becketts and Maggotts. Facilities include general admission, parking, grandstand seat (alternatively, guests may wish to stand in the terrace), breakfast, buffet lunch and afternoon tea menus, souvenir program and FM radio, VIP ticket wallet and fully inclusive bar.

Brooklands Restaurant is in the middle price range. It is available on Friday (GBP 219), Saturday (GBP 285) and Sunday (GBP 979). The combined package for all 3 days is GBP 1,229. Private tables seat ten, although partial tables may be arranged for as few as one person on a sharing basis. Your money buys you a prime position inside the race track, free bar service and all-day chef's deluxe table for breakfast, lunch and tea in the afternoon.

The Driver's Lounge, situated within the new Stowe Lakeside hospitality area, offers views of Stowe Corner and Vale. It is open on Saturday for GBP 399 and on Sunday for GBP 1,225, roughly GBP 1500 for both days.
